For this special attraction, eligible bully breeds are those bully breeds whose ancestors are the ancient Molossian dogs; these eleven breeds are: Bull Mastiffs, Dogue de Bordeaux, Dogo Argentino, American Staffordshire Terriers, Bull Terriers (Colored), Bull Terriers (White), Staffordshire Bull Terriers, Mini Bull Terriers, Boston Terriers, Bull Dogs, and French Bull Dogs. Best Champion Bred-by-Exhibitor in Show is held specifically to showcase AKC Champions of Record handled and co-owned by a breeder of record from the Best of Breed competition on Monday, February 2, 2026. In each breed, a Best Champion Bred-by-Exhibitor will be awarded immediately following each breed. To be eligible for this competition, dogs must have finished their Championship from Bred-By-Exhibitor and be handled in Best of Breed competition by a breeder of record who owns or co-owns the dog and the dog must have been recognized by AKC as a Champion of Record by date of closing. Exhibitors must declare their eligibility to compete in this special competition at the time of entry. Champion dogs exhibited in Open Class are not eligible for this competition. A breeder of record must handle the dog in the Group and Best in Show competition.
If Best of Breed is awarded to an eligible dog or bitch that entry is automatically awarded Best Champion Bred-by-Exhibitor in its breed. Each of the breed winners will compete in Best Champion Bred-by-Exhibitor in Groups which will be judged as scheduled the day of the show followed by Best Champion Bred-by-Exhibitor in Show. There may be no substitution of dogs in this special attractions.
